Seek New Heights - July 29 – August 3, 2024

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the flagship national Order of the Arrow event.

It is held every two years at a major university campus and is attended by as many as 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states.

It is second only to the BSA National Jamboree in size and scope.

Our largest conference was in 2015, attended by more than 15,000 Arrowmen to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow.

Remote Delegate Registration - Now Open

The Remote Delegate experience allows Arrowmen at home to experience NOAC including live training, evening shows, and access to exclusive virtual-only programming.

New for NOAC 2024, Remote Delegates will participate in the conference through a custom portal that will facilitate more interaction and better on-demand access to all live streamed content.

Also new this year will be a custom memorabilia kit exclusive to those who register as a Remote Delegate for NOAC 2024.

Shoreline Cleanup Service Project

Lake Perris - June 1 - 7:00AM to 11:30AM

The service project will be a shoreline cleanup along Alessandro Island and the eastern shoreline of the lake. We will meeting in Lot 6 at 7:00AM for a safety briefing and then paddling kayaks and canoes along the shoreline to pick up trash. For those scouts and cub scouts that are unable to use the boats, there will be a land based service project of picking up trash along the eastern shoreline of Lake Perris.

We appreciate all of the alumni who helped to make this happen. While this may be a possible retirement for our beloved paper newsletter, its legacy should live on.

What is ACT (Adapt – Collaborate  –  Thrive)? This event is designed to help Lodge and Chapter leaders  Adapt to face major challenges, Collaborate with their peers throughout the section, and, eventually, Thrive and become high performing.

Who should attend? ACT is open to all registered Arrowmen across the three Lodges in Section G18S. The ACT Conference will prepare lodge and chapter leadership to improve upon the three high performing lodge indicators: unit election rate, induction rate, and activation rate. For the conference to be successful, all lodge and chapter officers should plan to attend. Any youth or adult Arrowmen who are involved in unit elections and visitations, induction events, and event planning should also attend.

Arrowmen aspiring for Lodge Leadership roles are strongly encourage to attend. This conference is about the future of YOUR Lodge!

What will we learn? Youth leaders attending will learn about building relationships, engaging new members and existing members, building a vision for the future and how to enact that change, and how to bring all of your Lodge members with you on that journey.

National Leadership Seminar / Developing Youth Leadership Conference

September 15 - 17 Tempe, AZ

The National Leadership Seminar (NLS) is a weekend conference that focuses on the skills and attributes of leadership. The program enhances the leadership skills of the Order of the Arrow’s key youth and adult members as they seek to improve their service to the Boy Scouts of America and the greater community.

The Developing Youth Leadership Conference (DYLC) strengthens an adviser’s capacity to develop youth leadership within the lodge and chapter. Conference topics will include learning how to promote resilience, foster a growth mindset, provide constructive feedback, and create a life-long mentoring relationship.

Cost $300 which includes hotel.

The OA membership journey, called the Induction, begins at the Unit election and culminates in the Brotherhood ceremony.

Polestar: Induction Leadership Training clarifies the true service the OA provides to Scouting and how the Induction achieves this purpose. 

Polestar builds excellence in execution of the Induction, helping lodge leaders to improve membership activation and retention.

Polestar should be experienced by all youth and adults who lead the essential activities of the OA locally–as well as any members who wish to learn more about how (and why) the OA functions.

The intended audience includes lodge and chapter advisers, lodge and chapter officers, and other key youth and adult, but is open to all.

The training will be at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center. There is no cost for this event and lunch will be provided.
